Dear Troops, As 2007 comes to an end. My family and I would like to Thank each and Every one of you who has devoted your life for Our Freedom and Peace. To Each of you from the bottom of our hearts. Happy New Year. May you all be home before it is over. With Love and Thanks You are All in Our Prayers Brenda Ohio

Brenda, Ridgeway, OH

Words cannot convey the gratitude I have for your support. I have many young Soldiers under my responsibility and I’ve witnessed first hand the impact that volunteer support has on them, if only you could see it for yourself. The care packages, the letters and the verbal “thanks” they get from random strangers makes a world of difference. It is critical that our Soldiers know their sacrifices do not go unnoticed. Thank you…we won’t let you down.

Robert Hindle, Palm Bay, FL

God Bless all of you for your courage in fighting to save our way of life

Carol Blivas, Tampa, FL

You are all so brave. Thank you so much for all that you have sacrificed to keep us safe and free. We want you home, but at the same time, believe that what you are doing in so important. I believe that you are the reason we have had no other terrorist attacks since 9/11. You are all in the daily prayers of my family. May you all feel our love and support across the miles while you are away from your loved ones. Merry Christmas!

Dawn R., Decatur, AL

Greetings, I just wanted to take some time out of my day to say Thank-you for all the sacrifices that you are making for "me". My nephew has been to Iraq so I understand a little about how tough it is for you, not only just being there but missing home and family. Last year on Christmas eve I read a story of a soldier that my nephew had sent me to the family before we opened our presents. It made us appreciate everything we had a litt bit more. If you have a story about a soldier that you could send me, I would like to keep the new "tradition" going. God bless each and everyone of you this holiday season, take care of yourselves and again, THANK-YOU Paula Bryan

Dear American soldier, Without you this country wouldn't be what it is today. Thank you so much so much for sacrificing your family, jobs, and homes to go overseas anf fight for the U.S.A. Sincerely Stephanie

Stephanie, Lod, NJ

How often I think about you, sometimes with tears in my eyes. America loves you and I especially appreciate your service. You will forever be in my heart and my thoughts. How can I ever thank you, would I be so brave to serve as you are serving, would I be so courageous as you to do what you are asked to do, would I be willing to lay down my life for the freedoms that we here take for granted. I don't know if I would have had the courage to do that. Now that I am older (52) oh, how I wish I had done something for my country. I would have been proud to have served, and I just want to let you all know how much you mean to me, even though I have never met you. With the most sincere wishes and heartfelt thanks, I wish I was at you side. Truly, from a grateful American, Bless all of you.

I just want to say thank you for everyone that has taken the time to support us. We have been blessed with wonderful sponsors that we met through this site. Supplying us with a little bit of home when we are so far away. It has been a real blessing. I especially want to give a shout out to adoptaplatoon.org they have done so much for me and my unit and I want them to know that it is greatly appreciated by all. This is my second deployment to Iraq and this one has been so much better than the first just because of the support we have received! I can't say it enough THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Thank you America for all you are doing for the troops. From the Brownies that passed out cookies and goody bags at the airport, to Corporate sponsors providing gifts and services for no fee, and those of you who simply thank a military member who passes by, THANK YOU!!

November 15, 2006 I am a young man of 24 years. I have spent the last 5 years of my life serving this great country. I can only say that it is an honor to serve not only my family, my friends, and loved ones, but all of those who I have never met, and most likely never will. Your words of encouragement renew and invigorate soldiers like myself. It gives them the motivation and steadfast determination to move on with hope every day. I shed my first tear in many years reading the posts made by so many people here on this site. I am proud to serve each and every one of you. I cannot speak for everyone, but I believe most, if not all, of my fellow brothers and sisters in the service, thank you for your support. It is greatly needed, especially with the holidays coming up very soon. I wish to leave you all with a poem I wrote shortly after I returned from being deployed -- American Soldier: They've seen things That some never will. They've seen people die And they've had to kill. When a soldier comes home And at night he cries. You'll never know What he's seen with those eyes. They've heard bombs Bursting all around. They've heard planes Crashing to the ground. When a soldier comes home And doesn't say a word, You'll never know What his ears have heard. They've felt the pain Of losing a brother, And they've felt the pain Of killing another. When a soldier comes home And he sits all alone, You'll never know The pain he's known. Look at the pain in his eyes. Listen to the sadness in his voice. Feel the scars upon his skin. If I had a choice I'd do it all over again. Author: David Franklin God Bless you all.

David Franklin, Senior Airman, US Air Force,, Porter, IN

I wanted to take a brief moment to say thank you. Thank you for your show of support, and thank you for your actions. Having served in Iraq and now Afghanistan, I can assure you knowing that people who are not in our immediate family are supportive of the troops means a great deal. Please know you touch our hearts with your kindness and I salute you! Please keep your faith in us and with us, continue to pray for our troops and the children, wifes/husbands waiting for us back home; this is also a hard time for our families too. Thanks again -- we will keep up our work and make America proud!

Steven Goe/TSgt/ USAF,, Auburn, WA

To all in the states, I am a british soldier who would like to say thank you to all those who sent us messages of love and support whilst in Iraq. I spent 8 months serving alongside boys from your side of the pond (USA) and made some great friends, the letters I received from American schoolchildren really made me realise that people do care and those children continue to do credit to your country and people. I urge you not to forget those serving in IRAQ and Afghanistan; the smallest goodwill from home can make a huge difference to a soldier's day...

Johno British army,, London, England, FL

Robert Hollowood SPC Army,, Uniontown, PA

Your thanks and support mean so much to me over here in the desert. I want everyone to know though life out here is difficult at times, I am serving my country and state honorably. I have over 5 months left on my deployment, but the time is going by quickly. I'll be home soon! Go Big Red!

Andy McDowell/A1C/USAF,, Grand Island, NE

It's very nice to hear the words of encouragment from people you will never meet in your life. Through all the political stuff going on, Americans need to realize that fellow Americans are overseas risking their lives every day and need to support our troops whether you support the war or not. It's all about our troops -- nothing else. Thanks for the support; it really means a lot.

Shawn shankles SSgt USAF ,, Fayetteville, AR
